Mr. Al Duane Cotton

Kilgore will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 10 a.m. Friendship Baptist Church in The Colony, Texas with Rev. James Hutchins
officiating. Local viewing will be held after the processsion from
Dallas at New Hope Church of Christ, Kilgore, Texas at approximately
2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with interment at New Hope Cemetery in
Kilgore, Texas. Sandra Clark Funeral Home of Dallas, Texas is in charge
of directions with local arrangements by Victory Funeral Services.
He was born November 23, 1971 in Longview, TX at Good Shepherd Hospital.
This precious gift was given to Saundria Tillman Roberson and Connally
Cotton, Sr. He departed this life on June 25, 2011 at his residence in
Carrollton.
He was a member of New Life Community Church in Carrollton, Texas.
He graduated from Richardson High School in Richardson, Texas and after
graduation his athletic abilities afforded him scholarships to attended
Navarro Junior College in Corsicana, Texas, Tyler Junior College in
Tyler, Texas and to Mississippi State University in Starkville,
Mississippi where he graduated in 1996.
At the time of his demise, he was the owner of Xplod, a company made up of a group of former coaches and players who
helped train high school players hoping to improve their technique and
move on to play college football.
In June of 2001, he married Jeanene Langley and one child, Alexander
Dinari, was born to this union to complete their family along with
Willard and Jasmine Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Rufus Tillman, Margine Neal, Roy Cotton, Sr. and Alvesta Templeton Cotton.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanene Cotton of Carrollton, TX; son,
Alexander Cotton and step-children, Willard and Jasmine Thomas all of
Carrollton, TX; mother, Saundria Tillman Roberson of Dallas, TX;
sisters, Linda Wyatt of Dallas, TX and Candi Cotton of Garland, TX;
brother, Connally Cotton, Jr. of Aurora, CO; aunts and uncles, Alva Jean
Green, Remonia and Telly Medford, Antoinette Tillman and Timothy
Tillman all of Kilgore, TX; Cheryl and Michael Templeton of Houston, TX;
Dorothy and Eric McKay of Junction City, KS; Mary Tillman of
Albuquerque, NM; Ingrid and Byron Smith of Dallas, TX; Antone and Teresa
Tillman of Overton, TX and Mack and Gloria Cotton of Dallas, TX;
step-grandmother, Geraldine Tillman and mother-in-law, Creola Frazier
Langley of Washington, DC.
