Mr. Alvin James Browne Memorial
services for Alvin James Browne, 60, of Longview,
TX, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday,
December 31, 2016 in the Victory Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Bernard Gray
officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.
Alvin was born on Saturday, October 13, 1956 in Forney, Texas
to the parentage of Smith Alvin and Rosie Lee Jones Browne. He departed this
life on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Longview
Regional Hospital.Along side his father, Alvin
and his sisters were reared in the homes of their loving grandparents, Mr. Augustus
and Mrs.Era Browne and Mr. Lovest and Mrs. Ernest Lee Jones and their aunt and
uncle, Mr. Clarence and Mrs. Lorene Carlisle.Early in life he united with Fredonia Baptist Church
and remained a member until his demise. His elementary education was
garnered through the Kilgore public school system with graduation in 1975 from Kilgore High School where he was active in
track. He later enlisted and served in the United States Air Force. In his free
time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.Early in his work career he
was employed by Capacity of Texas, Inc. His parents, grandparents, aunts
and uncles all preceded him in death. He
leaves to cherish his memory to his sisters, Debra Browne of Kilgore, TX and
Brenda Browne and her husband, Ernest of Longview, TX; nephews, Kelly
Waterhouse and Regis Henson both of Kilgore, TX; and Torrey Henson of
Pflugerville, TX; a niece, Nicole Sparks of Houston, TX and a special cousin,
Johnnie Pearl Thomas-Reddy of Dallas, TX and a host of other relatives and
friends. There will be no public viewing.
