Mr. Mack Albert Wells Funeral
services for Mack Albert Wells, 48, of Kilgore, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday,
December 15, 2012 at Kilgore
Baptist Church
with Rev. Barnarders Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Pirtle Cemetery
in Kilgore, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction
of Victory Funeral Services. Mack
was born December 5, 1964 to Mack Lacy and Eva “Patsy” Wells in Kilgore, Texas.
He departed this life on December 11, 2012 at Azalea Place in Tyler, Texas. At
the age of five years old he united with and was baptized at Kilgore Baptist
Church. Mack was active in band, the
Science Club, National Honor Society, Future Teachers of America and the Solo
and Ensemble Choir prior to graduating from Kilgore High School
in 1982. After graduation he attended Kilgore
College, Buxton University
and St. Stephens Educational Bible College.
For most of his adult life until his illness he was self employed; having owned
night clubs in Hollywood, California, Las Vegas, Nevada and upon his return to Kilgore
in 1999. His nightclub in Hollywood
was the setting for several movies; affording him the privilege of meeting his
favorite actress, the late Eartha Kitt. His skills as a disc jockey allowed him
to do what he loved; entertaining. He
is preceded in death by grandparents, one uncle, Willie “Scatman” Smith and
step-father, Samuel “Goober” Alexander. Those
that remain to cherish his memory are wife, Terri Orange of Kilgore, TX;
daughter, Chelsea Wells of Kilgore, TX; mother, Eva “Patsy” Mills of Kilgore,
TX; brother, Aaron Gipson of Huntsville, TX; four sisters, Darlene Emeadi,
Vernita Gipson, Theresia Wells and Kasandra Wells all of Kilgore; two aunts, Maria
Pentecost of Longview, TX and Mattie D. Pentecost of Oklahoma City, OK; special
nephew, Demetrius “Pop” Wells of Victoria, TX and special niece, Kimberly Jones
and husband, David of Longview, TX and a host of nieces, nephews and other
relatives. Public viewing
will be Friday, December 14, 2012, starting at noon with family visitation
starting at 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Victory Funeral Services.
