Mr. Odell Jones, Sr.Funeral services for Odell Jones, Sr., 66, of Kilgore, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Kilgore Baptist Church with Rev. Gary L. Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Butts-Kennedy Cemetery in Kilgore, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.Odell was born Friday, August 7, 1947 to Henry and Irene Milton Jones in Kilgore, Texas. He departed this life on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Good Shepherd Medical Center.At an early age he united with and was baptized at Kilgore Baptist Church and remained a member until his demise. Odell graduated from C. B. Dansby High School in 1966. In 1965, he married Dorothy Jo Tatum and one son, Odell, Jr. was born to this union. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jeffery Pinkard. Those that remain to cherish his memory are his sons, Odell Jones, Jr. of Fairfax, SC and  Jake Turner, III of San Diego, CA; daughter, Julia Sanders of Frisco, TX; sister-in-law, Teola B. Samples Williams of Dallas, TX; friend, Dorothy Williams, two grandchildren, Erika Sanders of Frisco, TX and Shamar Turner of San Diego, CA and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Viewing will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013, starting at noon until 6:00 p.m. at Victory Funeral Services.
