services for Calixtra Galvan Basoria will be held on Monday, August 24,
2020 from 3 until 7 p.m. on the lawn at Victory Funeral Services. Burial
services will be held at a later date in Ciudad Acuña Coahuila, Mexico.
Victory Funeral Services is in charge of the service. Calixtra,
affectionately known as Caly, was born on October 14, 1959 in Rio Verde
San Luis Potosi, Mexico to the parentage of Fidel Galvan and Agustina Basoria.
She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Christus
Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas just minutes prior to
the demise of her beloved brother, Gregorio Galvan. Early in life, she became a member of the Catholic Church and was strong in her faith until his demise.
Calixtra attended school in her hometown prior to relocating to
Kilgore. She brought with her a beautiful, unique personality and was
always wearing a smile. She loved her family immensely and doted on her
grandchildren. They all ran a close race with her fanatical time spent
on Facebook. Her phone could always be found attached to her hand to
send out photos and prayers to her friends. Her memories are
being cherished by: her children, Rebecca Llanes and her husband Jamie,
Nohemi Llanes and her husband, Abdulio, Jesus Llanes and his wife
Carmen, and Adrian Llanes and his wife Mayra all of Kilgore, TX;
brother, Vicente Galvan of Kilgore, TX; sister, Alejandrian Galvan of
Mexico; grandchildren, Damian Llanes, Giselle Llanes, Mateo Llanes,
Adriana Llanes, Jesus Eduardo Llanes, Beatriz Llanes, Julian Llanes,
Lorenzo Llanes Zulema Llanes, Jaime A. Vazquez, Jr., Celeste Vazquez,
Azul Vazquez, Gabriel Vazquez, Jorge Vazquez, Giovanni Lara, Joselyn
Lara, and Dariana Lara; special friend/cousin, Lute Galvan; and a host
of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in
death by her parents, her husband, Lazaro Llanes, her sister, Karina
Galvan, and her brother, Gregorio Galvan, transitioned shortly after her
death..
