Mrs. Ruby Robertson"Punkin"Funeral services for Ruby Lee Robertson, 63, of Kilgore will be held
at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Kilgore Baptist
Church with Rev. Stanley
Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Kilgore Baptist
Cemetery. Arrangements
are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services. Ruby,
more affectionately known as Punkin, was born in Forney, Texas
on Sunday, March 19, 1950 to the parentage of Ruben and Helen J. Sanders. On Thursday,
November 14, 2013, she departed this life at Good Shepherd
Medical Center. She
united with Westview Church of Christ at an early age and later at Mt. Pleasant
CME and Kilgore Baptist Church. At
the time of her death she was employed in the Kilgore Independent
School District as a cook
and bus monitor. She had previously been employed at Gregg Home
for the Aged. She
attended C. B. Dansby High School. Ruby
was an upbeat friendly person who never met a stranger. Ruby
united in holy matrimony with Johnny Robertson, Sr. who preceded her in death. Her
parents, husband, son, Roy Sanders, brothers, Joe Boy Seaton and Peter Pan
Sanders, sister, Betty Sanders, five aunts, Ollie Smith, Erma Jean Benton,
Henrietta Sanders and Ella Ree Sanders and Fannie D. Washington and uncles, Lee
Sanders and Jim Sanders all preceded her in death. She
leaves to cherish her memory a daughter and her companion, Bunny Berry and
Wayne Brown of Tyler, TX; two sons and companion, Forrest Sanders and Parie
Williams of Kilgore, TX and Johnny L. Robertson, Jr. of Huntsville, TX; four sisters
and their spouses, Norma and Allen Sims of Kilgore, TX; Vivian Franklin and
Barbara Franklin both of Longview, TX; and Margaret Seaton of Dallas, TX; four brothers
and their spouses, Lee Roy and Roslyn Sanders and James and Eva Sanders all of
Kilgore, TX; Edward Franklin of Tulsa, OK and Roy Lee & Glenda Sanders of
Tyler, TX; two adopted sisters and their spouses, Debbie and Wayne Hamilton of
Kilgore, TX and Mary and Finist Brooks of Tyler, TX; three aunts, Doris Caldwell
of Tyler, TX; Eller Johnson of Dallas, TX; and Annie Jones of Los Angeles, CA; two
uncles, Andrew Smith of Dallas, TX and Henry Sanders of Whitehouse, TX and many
more relatives and friends. Public viewing will be Friday, November 22, 2013, starting at noon
with family visitation from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Victory Funeral Services.
