Mrs. Willie Jean Rossum Jones
(Click on photos to enlarge)Willie Jean was born December 3, 1952, one of ten children to the parentage of Willie Luther and Curniest Berkley Rossum in Kilgore, Texas. On Saturday, March 12, 2011 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas she departed this life to be with the Lord.
Early in life, she confessed her faith in God and united with New Hope Baptist Church where she remained a member until her demise.
She attended Kilgore public elementary schools, C. B. Dansby High School where she was a member of the Tigerettes and graduated in 1971 from Kilgore High School.
On September 12, 1975, she was united in holy matrimony to Fred D. Jones and five children were born to this union.
Her father, a son, Frederick Lynn Jones, two brothers, Charles Rossum and an infant brother all preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Fred Jones of Troup, TX; her mother, Curniest Rossum of Kilgore, TX; three daughters and sons-in-law, Raynette and Claude Anderson of Tyler, TX; Jennifer and Demond Brown of Overton, TX; and Kimberly Jones of Tyler, TX; a son, Kelvin Lynn Jones of Troup, TX; three grandchildren, Timia Alexander, Jayden McGowan and Aubrey Brown; five sisters, Shelia Mauldin, Loretta Castille, Canary Gabir, Kathy Shankle, and Deirdre Clemons and two brothers, Willie Rossum and Floyd Rossum and a host of other relatives and friends.
