Can the LifeMarker QR chip be attached to any headstone?

Yes! The QR code chip can be attached to any new or existing memorial with a dry, clean, smooth surface. Before attaching the LifeMarker chip, please check with the cemetery or mausoleum to make sure they do not have any restrictions on the use of bar codes on monuments.

How long will the LifeMarker QR code chip last?

The QR code chip is made from high-grade material and should last indefinitely with no issues.

What if the chip is damaged or stolen?

LifeMarker will replace your QR chip for a fee of $15 which covers shipping and handling.

How do I set up an account?

Once you have purchased and received your LifeMarker follow the guidelines and instructions below to set up your account. If you need more help, technical support is always available by clicking the SUPPORT button on the login or contact pages.

Account setup:

1.   Click LOGIN

2.   Select CREATE ACCOUNT

3.   Enter the activation code that was provided to you when you received your QR chip. If you do not have an activation code, call 1.866.543.3103.

4.   Enter the 8-digit Chip Number in the QR Number field

5.   Click CONTINUE

6.   Select a user name and password


Once you have registered, select an icon (home, photos, video, voice) and follow the instructions to upload your content.

Once you have uploaded information into your LifeMarker Web archive, simply peel the backing material off the back of the chip to expose the adhesive and attach the chip to any dry, clean, smooth surface.


Before attaching the LifeMarker chip, check with the cemetery or mausoleum to make sure they do not have any restrictions on the use of bar codes on monuments.


Then, with a smart phone or any communication device with Internet access, just scan* the QR chip. The LifeMarker SEARCH page will appear. Enter the 8-digit QR Chip Number or archive name to access your page.

TO VIEW THE WEB ARCHIVE ON A COMPUTER

Distant friends and family can view the web archive from any computer with Internet access. From the LifeMarker Website, select SEARCH from the menu bar. Enter the 8-digit QR Chip Number or the archive name in the search field to view the web archive.

What if the chip is damaged or stolen?

How long will the LifeMarker web archive be maintained?

Only the administrator, or those they authorize, can post or edit information in the web archive.

Who can enter or change information in the LifeMarker archive?

Web archive page(s) that comply with the terms and conditions of LifeMarker, LLC will be maintained for as long as the company is in business.

WHAT IS A QR CODE?

Similar to the bar codes found on many products, a QR code is a two-dimensional symbol that is interpreted by a special scanner. Today, smart phones and other devices equipped with Internet access are easily able to scan QR codes. A QR code reader/ scanner application is required and can be downloaded free or at little cost from the app store for your phone.

Pricing

Although upon purchase the owner can simply purchase the QR code and add the information to the website at no additional cost; we offer the following services:


A unique QR code chip, is a one-time expense of $199.00

(We will make the obituary page upload a complimentary gift if you would like for us to do the work.)


Designing pages and uploading additional information is $25.00 per page. Updates and changes are charged at the same rate.


The owner can install the code or our installation of QR Code at cemetery fee is $100.00 within 25 miles of the funeral home. Mileage fees apply after the 26th mile.


Keepsake key rings with photo and QR code -- $6.00 each.
